La nouvelle parvint jusqu'à Valoria. Sans trésor à offrir, Léo décida tout de même de se rendre à Auroria. Il sella son fidèle cheval, n'emportant avec lui que son courage et, au fond de sa poche, son unique sou de cuivre. Il n'espérait pas gagner, mais il voulait offrir un cœur honnête.

The news reached Valoria. With no treasure to offer, Léo decided to travel to Auroria nonetheless. He saddled his faithful horse, taking with him only his courage and, deep in his pocket, his single copper penny. He did not hope to win, but he wished to offer an honest heart.

En chemin, Léo rencontra une vieille femme assise au bord de la route, tremblante de froid. Ses vêtements étaient en haillons et son regard était rempli de tristesse. "Aidez-moi, mon bon monsieur," murmura-t-elle, "je n'ai rien mangé de la journée."

On his journey, Léo met an old woman sitting by the roadside, shivering with cold. Her clothes were rags and her eyes were filled with sorrow. "Help me, good sir," she whispered, "I have eaten nothing all day."

Dans la salle du trône, les prétendants étalèrent leurs cadeaux : des coffres débordant de rubis, des colliers de diamants, et même un éléphant blanc paré d'or. Le Roi Theron rayonnait de plaisir, tandis que la Princesse Isabelle examinait chaque trésor avec un intérêt calculateur.

In the throne room, the suitors displayed their gifts: chests overflowing with rubies, diamond necklaces, and even a white elephant adorned with gold. King Theron beamed with delight, while Princess Isabelle inspected each treasure with a calculating eye.

Vint le tour de Léo. Il s'avança, les mains vides, devant le trône. "Je n'ai ni or ni bijoux à vous offrir," dit-il d'une voix claire. "Je n'apporte que la promesse de gouverner avec bonté et un cœur rempli d'amour." La cour éclata de rire et Isabelle détourna le regard avec dédain.

Then it was Léo's turn. He stepped before the throne with empty hands. "I have no gold or jewels to offer you," he said in a clear voice. "I bring only the promise to rule with kindness and a heart full of love." The court erupted in laughter, and Isabelle looked away with disdain.
